That was really good work.

You just spent about twenty minutes giving your nervous system new, low-threat information about . That is exactly how the body learns safety again — gently, with repetition.

Your anchor

Come back here anytime — between sessions, before a difficult moment, or just to settle. The more you visit, the easier it becomes to find.

Why this works

Your brain processes imagined movement using the same neural pathways as real movement. Each time you visualize safely — or attempt a small real version — your nervous system updates its threat map. The alarm becomes a little less sensitive. Protection becomes a little more accurate.

What to do between now and your next session

  • Practice this visualization once a day, about ten minutes.
  • Try a small, scaled-down version of — at whatever level feels manageable. The graded version you tried today is a good starting place.
  • If pain or fear rises during practice, return to your safe place and slow your breathing. You are not pushing through — you are teaching.
